You Are Not Alone and You Can Make A Difference!

The tea party movement is millions of Americans that woke up one morning and realized that the country had left its
constitutional design, that government spending was destroying the future we had hoped to leave our children, that the judicial branch of our government has replaced the representative legislative system and is creating law that no one has voted for or against. We are people from all walks of life, all colors and cultural backgrounds.
On September 12, 2009 between 1,500,000 and 2,500,000 citizens came to Washington DC from all 50 states to protest the government plan to take over the healthcare system, massively increase the national debt and change the very architecture of our constitutional republic. The resulting effort to discredit and minimize the non-partisan tea party movement by Republicans, Democrats and the news media is the greatest possible indication of their surprise, fear and acknowledgement of our power.
We the American public, who have been asleep while our country was being taken from us, woke up. This was and is
not a protest of the rich; many of us had to sell possesions to pay for the trip to DC. It was and is not organized or paid for by large or national organizations of any kind or political persuasion. We are not controlled by talk radio, media icons or websites. Our guiding principles include healthy scepticism and we check our facts. We discovered to our disbelief at the town hall meetings that we knew the current legislation far better than our legislators.
We created national communications channels using the internet, that is why the Obama administration now want's to control political access to it. The national organization of tea parties is just a national telephone call on the internet. So is the state organization. There is no organization, no building, no paid anything. Every other description is a lie.
Vista Tea Party Patriots is a local Vista organization and is a part of the county, state and national tea party movement. We believe in the right to peacefully assemble and petition the government for a redress of grievances. We support our country's founding vision as expressed in the constitution and believe in a constitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibly and limited government intrusion into our personal and business lives. We believe in legal immigration and secure borders. We believe in transfering most federal power over our lives to local and state government. We support faith based lives and the power of individual responsiblity, integrity and ethics.
What Are We Doing To Make A Difference And What Are Our Plans?
Besides holding tea parties to keep our politicians aware that we are watching, we go to town hall meetings, attend council and school board meetings, we make phone calls, we write letters and emails. We seek to know and win our points with facts. We are determined that we will no longer be ignored by the political system. We are going to take back our political system using the ballot box, starting at home in Vista. To achieve this, we hold courses on the Constitution and founding documents, on the political history of the United States, on current legislation and about current issues.
We have aligned ourselves with Independence Caucus, a national volunteer organization that is vetting, endorsing and campaigning for candidates with our values. They help us train ourselves on how to run a local campaign, how to check out a candidate and how to influence political parties. We are working together with our county, state and national tea parties and with other local, state and national organizations to:
There are tens of millions of tea party members and affiliates. One in three Californians and an national majority, meaning more than 150 million Americans, say that they identify more with the tea party movement than either political party. You really aren't alone. But without a voice, those who oppose basic American values will say you are invisible and try and convince you to give up.
Your country and we, your neighbors, need you. Every contribution of time and effort helps. Whatever you can contribute, a phone call, a letter, a poster or a day with us at a tea party, is so welcome and helps us all immensely. We don't want your money, we want your brain, your voice and your vote on matters that make a difference for all of us.
